This chiropractor was bored and uninspired with her office – which was dark and utilitarian. She was interested in attracting more athletes as clients and wanted them to feel rejuvenated and comfortable when they visited. Additionally, she wanted a state of the art rehab room to support the growth of this more athlete-focused practice.
This client’s landlord was not interested in putting any tenant improvements into the space, so my client began looking for another office. While she was looking, we developed a space plan for other locations as well as for her existing space in case she could not find an appropriate alternative.
Through the process of researching for new space, it became clear that staying in her existing space would not be the best option. A main concern was the lack of natural light – so that became a main priority during the search. Once we found her new space, we ended up doing a full gut remodel, focused on creating a rehab/workout area that was visible upon entry so her athlete clients would feel comfortable in the environment.
At the same time, we created a separate, private area so rehab clients have a bit more privacy. After some gentle urging, my client agreed to a beautiful, curved wall to soften the space and add interest. And we added plexiglass panels, hung from the ceiling and above the curved wall, featuring imprinted sports images to complete the athletic look and feel.
Upon moving into the space, my client’s business has exploded – she has hired another chiropractor, athletic trainer and massage therapist. Her clients are thrilled with the expansive rehab space and bright atmosphere and she reports that both clients and her colleagues feel energized in the space.
We dreamed about what would be ideal for our unique practice style, our wonderful patients and our future growth. Melinda came up with a beautiful and functional space for us, a space that felt energetic, flowed efficiently and would accommodate our future needs. We couldn’t be more lucky or excited to move in!
